Flu Vaccine and Pneumonia Vaccine

Kinsale Medical administers the seasonal flu vaccine annually, usually beginning in October. Appointments for the flu vaccine are not available during surgery hours due to high demand; instead we run a clinic in the evening after normal surgery hours.

The Pneumovac vaccine which protects against pneumonia need only be administered once every 10 years, if you are over 65 years of age, and once every 5 years, if you are under 65 years of age. You should discuss whether you need this vaccine with your doctor.
