Cervical Cancer Vaccine
The Cervical Cancer Vaccine is used to protect against diseases caused by Human Papillomavaris (HPV). These diseases include cervical cancer, pre-cancerous lesions of the female genitals (cervix and vulva), and genital warts. The vaccine cannot cause the diseases, it protects against it.
The vaccine can be provided and administered here at the surgery, but needs to be ordered, and paid for in advance.
The person to be vaccinated will receive three doses of the vaccine. The 1st injection on the first appointment date, the 2nd ideally 2 months after the first injection, and the 3rd, ideally 6 months after the first injection. The person to be vaccinated should complete the vaccination course, otherwise the person vaccinated may not be fully protected.
